Salomon Czar Review

November 15, 2009

salomon-czar-2Salomon Czar Skis 2010The Salomon Czar is a big mountain ski with a playful edge. A wood core model with considerable pop, the Czar is a ski that does just about everything pretty well (with the exception of quick turns on hard snow – you can’t have it all.) Many testers really appreciated the smooth, damp ride – something that isn’t common amongst comparable models.
A powder ski at heart, the czar’s rockered tip and increased flexibility keep it atop deep snow without excessive width underfoot. Yup, you can push it into big GS turns on wide-open groomers, too. While heavier skiers may find that it lacks flotation at times, the Czar is an excellent choice for lighter skiers in deep snow.

SALOMON CZAR REVIEW // WHO IT’S FOR

SALOMON CZAR REVIEW // WHAT THEY SAID
“For a straight ski with almost no sidecut, the Czar is pretty easy to turn. In fact, it does pretty much everything well.”

“Butter-smooth on almost everything! A really fun, agile powder ski if there ever was one.”
